About The Acorn Collective. |
Established in 2020
The Acorn Collective is a response to the silence and inaction of our town’s officials despite the rest of the country moving towards revolution and liberation. The suburbs are not immune to racism and discrimination. Our residents and people in power must work towards being anti-racist and transparent.
Our Mission
To challenge our local officials and institutions to actively work towards promoting the health, safety, and education of its marginalized populations. We fight for immediate changes to policy and infrastructure to reflect the demands of the Black Lives Matter movement.
